Okyeame Kwame is the reason why I started rapping --- Amerado claims.

Amerado, one of Ghana's most popular rappers, recently discussed the beneficial professional influence that veteran rapper Okyeame Kwame had on him.

Amerado discussed his path from periods of doubt to his present success in a recent interview on TV3's Showbiz 360. He gave gratitude to the support he received from other artists and fans.

He went on to emphasize how important of a support system and how much of an impact these musicians had on his musical path.

He praised Okyeame Kwame, the "rap doctor," and many other music experts who had opened up for him.

I would always appreciate Okyeame Kwame because he comes in first. Amerado also expressed gratitude for the assistance and influence of other musicians including Obrafour, Eugene Praye (Horni Hor), Ofori Amponsah, and the late Daasebre Gyamenah.

Amerado reflected on his musical career path and talked about the difficulties he faced in order to survive.

"I traveled to England and debated returning to my work against staying there, which I knew was not allowed. I decided to return on my own after seeking advice from a few people. Things were much harder when I returned. I was wagering and gambling at a casino. I occasionally go without food and must ask friends for money to buy food.

Amerado emphasized his commitment to doing so despite the obstacles, even though he admitted that the music industry is under pressure to always advance and grow.

He also used the opportunity to thank his fans for their steadfast support and to implore them to continue purchasing not just his music but also the music of other Ghanaian musicians.
